Reading Crane and Engineering Co. is not simply a new equipment provider and a service company. Our company name was chosen for a reason and shows our understanding that structural, mechanical and electrical engineering play the primary role in providing our customers with the proper equipment for their needs. Our large staff of in-house Professional Engineers have numerous years of experience in the design of overhead cranes, crane runway systems and mobile electrification systems. Our engineering services are not limited to new equipment installations. Our services include application analysis, crane capacity upgrade studies and crane modernization studies.
When your needs extend beyond the ordinary we have the expertise to handle special materials handing and machine design projects. From designing and building a machine to extract 50 ton, 2000° steel slabs from a preheat furnace for a large steel mill to rebuilding the Cableway Crane that spans from Nevada to Arizona at Hoover Dam, Reading Crane has undertaken some major projects. Most recently, we have completed the design and manufacture of a Plasma Jet Water Cutting Table for a local machine shop.
